About the shows

How long is the show? arrow-down

Disney On Ice productions vary in length, but they average between one hour and a half to two hours. This includes a 15-20 minute intermission.

Does Disney On Ice features any special effects during the show? arrow-down

As part of the magical experience, several Disney On Ice shows feature special effects, including a safe theatrical fog, strobe lights and dazzling special effects. We recommend contacting [email protected] for specific details about the show you are attending.

What should I wear to the show? arrow-down

We suggest you dress comfortably. Practical shoes are recommended to safely navigate the layout and steps at a venue. Proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. Our events are a casual, family-oriented experience. Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the body that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment will not be permitted. In that spirit, we ask you to use discretion and common sense.

 

Inappropriate Attire

Feld Entertainment and its affiliates reserve the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other guests. Attire that is not appropriate and which may result in refusal of admittance includes but is not limited to:

 

  • • Costumes and costume masks, which may not be worn by Guests 14 years of age or older
  • • Clothing with objectionable material, including obscene language or graphics
  • • Excessively torn clothing
  • • As stated above, clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment
  • • Clothing that touches or drags on the ground
  • • Obscene or profanity tattoos

 

Costumes are not permitted for guests 14 years and older.

 

For Guests 14 Years of Age or Under:

Costumes may be worn according to these guidelines. Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from (insert show name), unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards:

 

  • • All guests may dress as their favorite character, but may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other guests.
  • • Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
  • • Costumes may not contain any props or accessories that resemble or could be mistaken for an actual weapon.
  • • Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike or injure another guest.
  • • Layered costumes or costume props that surround the entire body are strongly discouraged and may be subject to additional security screening.
  • • Costumes may not drag or trail on the ground.
  • • Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
  • • Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.

Are cameras allowed in the arena? arrow-down

Still cameras are permitted, provided that they are non-professional cameras and the photos are intended for personal use only. No video cameras of any kind are allowed in the arena.

Security at our venues arrow-down

The safety of our performers, crew and customers is our top priority. We work closely with the venues and our partners to ensure all involved with Disney On Ice are comfortable and safe. Please check your local venue website for security information and updated policies.

Is the arena easily accessible for visitors with mobility difficulties and/or accessibility needs? arrow-down

Please contact your local venue as they can provide you with information about accessibility as information may differ.

Are there any Meet & Greets available? arrow-down

 

From time to time, we offer public meet and greets through competitions, which will be advertised as such. If there aren’t any meet and greets planned in your area, we hope you will enjoy seeing the Disney characters at the show.

Can my children spend time on the ice with the characters? arrow-down

Disney On Ice does not sell tickets to get on the ice with the characters. The experience is reserved for select groups, usually charities or through exclusive competitions. Some Disney On Ice shows do have interactive audience moments, however these children are either chosen at random at the show or at random through various competitions.

Can a special birthday announcement be made on my child’s special day? arrow-down

We are delighted that you will be spending time on your child’s birthday at Disney On Ice. Unfortunately, due to the strict running order of the show, no special announcements or requests can be made at the show.

Can I bring snacks to the show? arrow-down

Snacks and drinks are on offer at the venue for purchase, and can be enjoyed during the show. However no snacks and drinks purchased outside of the venue will be allowed into the show.

Can I bring Blankets or cushions to the show? arrow-down

Blankets and cushions are welcome, the venue does get cold so please ensure to bring along a jacket.

Can I bring my pram and car seat into the venue? arrow-down

Prams and car seats are not permitted in the auditorium. Look out for the pram parking areas are provided at the venues.

Can I wear a costume to the show? arrow-down

Costumes worn by guests 14 years of age or older are not permitted. If you have any further questions please contact us at [email protected]

How can I purchase show souvenirs other than at the show? arrow-down

Disney On Ice merchandise and popcorn are only available for purchase at the show, please see our “Souvenirs at the show” section for an idea of the merchandise that will be available exclusively at the shows.*Please note that no prices will be available prior and all items are subject to stock availability.

About Tickets

How can I purchase tickets? arrow-down

FELD Entertainment advises customers to not purchase tickets from fan resale sites or secondary ticketing sites, as we cannot guarantee the tickets are valid. Always go to www.disneyonice.co.za direct, or to www.Computicket.com for best availability and guaranteed valid tickets.

 

FELD Entertainment and Showtime Management will not be responsible for any loss, liability, expense, claim, penalty or damage, whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, which may arise from or related to the purchase of any tickets from fan resale sites or secondary ticketing sales.

Do you offer any special ticket pricing for large groups? arrow-down

For groups of 20 and more ONLY

A discount of 20% is available on weekday shows and

Do you offer any special ticket pricing for children and families? arrow-down

Wonderful family packages offer savings of R30 per ticket, on purchases of 4,5 and 6 full price tickets on the top 3 ticket categories. For children under 2 years old, a special ‘Babies in arms’ ticket is available for purchase via Computicket. However any children older that 2 years old will need a full priced ticket.

Do I need to purchase a ticket for my infant child who will sit on my lap for the entire show? arrow-down

Babes in arms and children under two years sitting on parents lap MUST have a purchased Babes in Arms ticket from Computicket @ R51.00.

 

Children two years and older must have a purchased SEATED ticket.
