From Sketch to Show: Encanto

When fan favorites from Disney’s Encanto glide onto the ice, audiences in hometowns around the world are transformed to a vibrant town in the mountains of Colombia where they meet the Madrigals, an extraordinary family who live in a magical casita in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. 

The skating, the music, the magic and of course…the cavalcade of vibrant, instantly-familiar costumes thrill fans of the 2021 hit movie. 

"It’s always fun to bring the Disney characters to life but especially for the first time," said Dawna Oak, Senior Director of Costumes & Disney On Ice Costume Designer. "Disney On Ice often gets to be the first to bring new Disney characters to life for our audiences around the globe which is pretty special to be a part of!"
